Social media campaign for AIGA DC chapter’s annual CreateAthon event

CreateAthon is a hands-on creative marathon that brings together local creatives and non-profit organizations for 24-hours of intensive and collaborative design problem-solving.

Preparations for this campaign began towards the end of 2021, and design assets rolled out on a regular basis on various social media platforms from January until April.

The design concept takes inspiration from blueprint illustrations to describe the design process, where ideas build and layer upon one another for development and refinement, ultimately producing a compact creation that carries more weight than it reveals to the public eye. I felt that this reflected the CreateAthon event concept, in which professional designers and marketers worked to gradually piece together a meaningful and innovative design solution to fulfill the ask from their non-profit clientele.
